OOTP & PT 22 Launch Plan!

OK, so here is how we will launch the OOTP 22 beta & the final release this week.

(Note: All of this does NOT apply to OOTP 21 Perfect Team, that will continue to run as usual. And, as mentioned several times before, absolutely nothing from OOTP 21 PT will move over to OOTP 22, except for your login info.)

IMPORTANT: Your current OOTP 21 Challenge Mode / Perfect Team 21 account will also work in OOTP 22! Please do NOT create a new account, use the same login as in OOTP 21! . We also have a loyalty bonus program, which looks at your account (username & email) and if this account has been active for previous Perfect Team versions, it gets the following bonus (skipping one version reduces the bonus to the next level):
Since Perfect Team 19: 2 Diamond and 1 Gold Pack
Since Perfect Team 20: 1 Diamond and 1 Gold Pack
Since Perfect Team 21: 1 Gold Pack

Tuesday, March 23
On Tuesday, around noon US (ET) time, those who pre-ordered the Fastspring webstore version will receive an email containing download links once the public OOTP 22 beta is available, and we will also post the download links on the forums, so you can still pre-order and access the beta after March 23.

You will be able to create a Perfect Team account (if you do not have one already) and team, however, this is just for the beta! You also get 50k PP and around 25 packs to play around with. You will NOT be able to buy PP and absolutely everything (PP, cards, team) will be reset on Friday for the official launch, except your login info.

Wednesday, March 24 and (most likely) Thursday March 25
We will release a public beta OOTP 22 patch which fixes reported problems of the past day. We will set up a sub forum here for you to report problems and feedback.

Friday, March 26 - Official Launch Day
At around 2-3 AM ET (essentially in the middle of the night) we will reset all PT22 beta teams and shut down simulation servers. Your login info will remain the same, so no need to create a new account after the reset. At around 9 AM ET, the system will be reopened and you can set up your brand new team again, open your starter packs (plus the extra gold pack you get) etc. PP purchase will be available at that time, too. However, simulations will NOT start yet, we don't want Steam users to be at an disadvantage.

On 9 AM ET the game will officially launch worldwide, on Steam, Mac AppStore (if their review process is finished until then) and for the Fastspring webstore customers, all at a 10% launch discount (same as pre-order discount). Download links for the final version will be emailed to pre-order customers. At that time, all users that now have the game can log in to PT 22 or create their accounts and start their teams, load up on PP if needed etc.

On 2 PM ET the first Entry Pool leagues get created and simulations start either exactly at that time or half an hour later.

Monday, March 29 - First promotion round
At the usual time (morning ET) we will start the first PT22 promotion round. This time, we will populate the first three levels (Rookie, Stone, Iron) based on team winning % compiled in the entry pool. Teams with less than 30 games in the Entry Pool will automatically start at the Rookie level. Simulations will begin 10 AM ET, as usual.

Friday, April 2
On Friday (9 AM ET) the 10% launch week discount will end. The loyalty bonuses for previous PT accounts will stay for another 3 weeks.

Thanks for the info Markus, it was very helpful. Just one question. If I played PT19 and PT21 but I didn't play PT20, do I get one diamond pack or two diamond packs?

Since you skipped a version, you get 1 Diamond and 1 Gold.

So how do we look at what our "account" is for PT 21 (Steam User). I do remember creating one but it is not something I use (I think). I want to make sure I remember what that login and password is. I obviously use this account and have 3 PT team logins and a Discord login. I also have 3 Challenge Mode logins--is this the "account"? Thank you!

When will Tournaments and Perfect Draft start accepting entries?

I'm assuming the first tournaments will start to run once the entry pool is playing games, as it was for PT21

Yes!

However, do note that obviously any roster fixes or similar will not get updated automatically in games in progress, and if there are further bug fixes, there's always a chance that some of them may not take full effect (ie. if we need to rebalance created ratings for coaches, obviously any coaches created in previous versions will not have the new algorithms applied to them).

Question: I bought OOTP19 on steam, and OOTP 20/21 on springfast or whatever it's called (spring something and it's not mindspring).

Will I get the 2 diamond packs? The email address associated with both accounts was the same.
