Cannot start a New Historic Game

Hello,

Every time I try to start a new historic save file, the crashes. It only started to happen recently ( last day or two).

I've tested a few things. Reinstalling the game, disabled all workshop addons, deleted and reinstalled the Documents folder. Lastly I found out that if I start a historic game in 1900s the game will load properly but if I try in the 2000s the game crashes ( ex. 2019, 2018).

I have included the last thing I see before it crashes. It says : Team History 99% and then it crashes

Not sure where to go from here.

PS. All other game modes work perfectly

Is it crashing and closing, or is it just hanging at 99%?

It isn't crashing and closing

It is hanging at 99% but if I click anywhere on the window, it says it has stopped responding.

So quick update. I let the 99% sit for about 2 minutes and then it loaded the Historic Game. But why all of sudden does it take so long to load ? Cause before I was able to load historic games very quickly

For some of the particular seasons it can take a bit of time, and that's why I was asking.

It's the addition of the real histories to the player screen this year, that takes some additional processing time to set up for a new game. The later the start year, the longer it takes.
