No sound

This is the second time this has happened, and the first time it happened it seemed to self-correct, to wit: No game sound, even though all the requisite boxes are checked and my computer's sound works on everything else. And yes, all drivers are up to date and apparently in good shape and no sound icons are x'd out anywhere. Any suggestions? The game just doesn't seem the same in silent mode. Thanks.

If this is on a Mac, then a lot of the time updating the OS fixes this. I have no idea why though

No, not a Mac, but I went through the Windows update motions just for kicks, and nothing improved. But thanks for responding!

Did you check if your output device is correct in sound settings? On occasion mine have changed of their own volition.
