Cant figure out building my own park

For the first time, I tried building my own ballpark and I dont know if it's not working or I am doing things wrong. From the beginning it went ok, but then nothing else happened. I started with the different sizes and saw them all change when I clicked on each one. Then I went to the other things like background, wall color, etc. and when I clicked different colors, nothing happened on the ballpark model. Everything stayed green no matter what I hit.
Then, when I found it listed with the other parks in the League Settings, the title came up, but it was still the Phillies park. I was trying to build my own so I wouldnt have to use the default Phillies park anymore.
Can someone maybe clarify what I am doing wrong?
