Didn't see this on the first page but why does the AI want to always trade me catchers for top 100 prospects?

Just had the Cardinals offer me Chris Widger for Ben Sheets and have had other either lousy catchers or really old catchers offered to me for Ben Sheets (who isn't a world beater but becomes a pretty solid starter).

Is their a way to change the settings to make trades a little more realistic and have the AI stop trying to trade me catchers?

Do you have catchers listed under "Team Needs"?

Also take a look around the league and see if there is a surplus catcher market. One way is to go to the trade screen and one by one click on a team and see what color their catcher position is for both MLB and prospects.

Do you have good catchers in majors and AAA? Also if its off season and you have only one C on the active roster you may get more catcher offers.

Nothing on there - no "needs" created and to be honest I didn't even know you could do that!

I always have at least 2 per team (majors to minors). If I trade one in the offseason I always promote someone as there are a lot of good defensive catchers out there (not a lot of good offensive ones).
