Import OOTP21 Game in OOTP22

Greetings and salutations!

I apologize if this question has been asked AND answered before, but I have a small confession to make. I have been REALLY slack when it comes to playing OOTP21. For a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is this pandemic, I got a late start playing the game and I'm still in the month of May 2020 in my simulation. Baseball season is literally around the corner and so is OOTP22, and I'm going to need to do something I've never done before: import the previous OOTP simulation into the new game.

I'm asking all of you because so many of you have been kind and gracious enough to answer not just my questions, but everyone else's as well and I need help with this. What's the best way to import a previous OOTP into the new game? I usually back up my games, but do I need to save them to a specific folder? Any advice will be most appreciated. From the main loading screen click Additional Modes - Import OOTP 21 game. It should automatically load the saved games folder from the previous version but you may have to navigate to your saved games folder. From there click the league you want and look for thre World.dat file. click that. Name your league and if you want the game to update or look for uniforms. i always say no to that.
Best time to convert is offseason but I have converted my EBL vs MLB league since OOTP 13 at various points.

Every version of the game back to at least 11 has an option for this on the title screen
