New League Opening Day

Greetings all.
The Sprint League Baseball (SLB) season is about to begin.
It's a league for those without the patience and time to go 162.
MLB and NASCAR join hands.

12 teams, 2 divisions.

44 game regular season schedule.
1 game wildcard sudden death playoff each division.
3 game division championship.
5 game league championship.

Use actual players starting with those on MLB rosters in 1961.
Actual rookies from each year thereafter enter annual draft.

Teams are represented by cities with NASCAR tracks, from Loudon to Daytona.

Give us a look and enjoy this short season league.

Clever idea. Though I would be surrounded by Poconos' fans by proximity, I always hold a special place for East Tennessee, so: Go Bristol.
