Situational AI defense
I'm not talking about the result of the play but rather the decision that was made. I play out every game and let the AI set my defense, but I do overrule it.
This situation happened in a recent game. I'm on the road bottom of the tenth winning run on first. The ball is hit to deep center runner tries to score, throw to cut off man who promptly throws to second. Shouldn't the throw go home? Situation two. Runner on first, one out, AI plays corner in. Maybe this one is just my opinion but I'll take runner on second and two outs. I always overrule this. Most time setting DP depth. Situation 3. seventh inning on, a pitcher is throwing a No-Hitter. Players should be more aggressive on defense to keep no-hitter alive. This is one time players should be diving for every ball near them. How many times in IRL have we seen great catches made in this situation? This is just my opinion. This isn't a graphics complaint. |

I notice the AI doesn't set DP depth very often and wondered about that. Seems like I'm always overriding when there's a runner on first. A lot of corners in even when I wouldn't expect a bunt. Its fine mostly as I override, but I'm surprised I have to do it so often. Gives me the opportunity to mess up and forget plus it can be a chore especially since it resets after a pick off attempt.
