Import Players

So I have a league, I want to be able to move players into that league from other leagues, but not keep the second league active, so for example move a player to the Korean Baseball League from the Australian Baseball League.

So the steps I have tried (and been unsuccessful hence the post!!)

1. Exported KBO free agents, as a text file
2. Added the Australian Baseball League to the league file
3. Identified player(s) to be moved
4. Moved identified player(s) from ABL to KBO teams
5. Deleted ABL

The KBO free agent pool is then empty, when I import the KBO FA's (from step 1), it returns a import successful but does not list any of the FA's exported in step 1.

Am I guessing that the deletion of the ABL deletes the ABL FA's and the KBO FA's and therefore the re-import of the KBO FA's will fail even though it states it is a successful import?

Is what I am trying to achieve actually achievable?

Thanks for any feedback (I am expecting a 'NO!')

I would suggest don't delete the league until you make sure import worked. Maybe wait a game day.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, this should be easy. Add the ABL to your game. Make sure the KBO has "Allow Free Agents from Other Leagues" checked (League Settings>Financials page).

Either use "Clear Rosters" or "Delete this League" from the league functions page of the ABL. The ABL players should be found in the available free agents when you go to the KBO.

Alternatively, if you have a manageable number of players you can go into the player editor and manually move them to any team/league you want.

@Ktulu's response should work. Otherwise the step you're missing for importing is you need to export both league rosters, then cut and past the ABL into the FA's in the KBO league and import that. Should now have all ABL players as FA's and leave the ABL league empty.
I do this all the time and works perfectly.
