Weird trade from AI

I know, trading will always be a issue in such games. But step by step, we could improve it. If we catch the weirdest trades.
Like this.
I offered one of my players and Buffalo offered 1. round pick. i Accepted.
But immediately the Sabres traded this player to Toronto, this time only for 3. round pick.

I have seen plenty of weird and bad trades. One such trade on my game was the caps trading their best defensive prospect (Adam Spurgeon, 6th overall in 2031) and a 5th round pick to St Louis in exchange for a solid top 6 forward who was on an expiring contract but had a career year, and the fossil known as Jordan Binnington, (now 40). The trade blew up for Washington immediately as Binnington retired a few days later. The main piece they got in the trade, Clarence Price, did not sign in washington, instead taking a deal in montreal. I think the AI just sometimes has lapses in judgement. I mostly just see smaller trades, usually shuffling bottom line players and minor leaguers around.
