Batting Stats Formula
I was hoping someone could either help me with a formula that i'm trying to create or share their own. I'm trying to understand what impact each stat (under the hood attributes not what the game presents to you) makes on the projected batting stats of a player. I have got to a point where I think I've isolated (roughly) what each stat provides, but when building the formula, I have no way of expressing it without vlookups, which when using the formula for 15,000 players, just breaks excel for me. It's not perfect but after spot checking a couple of players in my current save, it's close enough to where i'm ok with it.
I'm therefore hoping someone has a simplified version of the formulas or some guru is capable of building it with if statements and values as opposed to multiple vlookups. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...ub?output=xlsx So basically in a nutshell, I want some way of being able to calculate AVG, OBP, SLG & OPS projections for both current ability and potential ability after exporting the csv file from my saves. Also worth noting, I only play the game offline as a single player, I've already seen some pretty fantastic formulas for PT but other than the BB formula, i've been unable to reverse engineer them into a model that works for offline where the stats go up to 250. Thanks |

First, easiest way to check under the hood things is enter commish mode and look in the player editor.
Second, look in the manual, it explains which stats are effected by things like Stuff/Movement/Control and Contact/Gap/Power/Eye/AvoidKs http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/...atting_ratings http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/...tching_ratings
