General Manager - Continue button set to...

Hi, my interest in this game is for the general manager part, and I was wondering what auto-play settings people used for the Continue button?

1-week, 2-weeks, 1 month? Is 1 month too much and too dangerous to miss opportunities?

P.S. I need a management rulebook! That secondary roster, combined with that V rule and prospect with a major league contrat, I still don't get it and got jammed a few time..

i have the continue button turned off. i sim one day at a time, checking roster for injuries or slumping players daily - usually i'll get 7 days in for each playing session.

I play through all my games.

While pitching I will sim until RISP
Hitting I will spacebar each player. I will control stealing, hit and run, run and hit, ect.

I have never simmed a game without playing it.

After mitchkenn reply, I tried it day to day, not using the continue button, but without playing the game itself. I finished the season with an average score instead of a sucky one :-D
