Draft Lottery Confusion
There is a discrepancy between an email that gets sent on July 1 and the draft lottery that takes place on July 6.
Also, please consider moving the lottery back up to April 1 or the season end, because knowing where you're drafting can/should have an impact on trades and signings. |

It has to be after July 1st anyways because of the database change over now. I'm curious though why you find it affecting your signings? I haven't had an issue as I typically want to strengthen my team regardless, but I'd love to hear your thinking. |

On the signings question, all I was saying is that if you know you're going to be drafting in the top 10, you might opt to not offer a long term contract to an aging player -- or you might trade off your pick in return for a player who can help you sooner. Understanding we're working on house rules anyway, it's fine. But knowing your draft position before the July 1 seasonal roll over. would be helpful. |
