My wishlist
I don't think any of my things are particularly necessary - I'm very happy with the game as is. But as somebody who plays a lot of historical replays, here are some things that I'd like to see...
A lot of it revolves around coaching: 1. I play a lot of historical replays, and I like to use real players as coaches - so could we get a "disable fictional personnel" option similar to the "disable fictional free agents" that already exists? If coaches who didn't play in the Majors could be part of an importing class, that would be great...but I usually have real minors enabled, so I can typically find the guys that I want to find. 2. We have the option of using the "complete coaching system" - maybe an option for a partial coaching system? For instance, there really weren't pitching and hitting coaches in the 1800s, so I'm OK if teams don't use them when I'm doing those replays. I'd like to be able to turn pitching/hitting coaches off until sometime in the 1900s. 3. I'd like to see coaches in the team photo - at least the manager. 4. I responded to this in another thread, but I think it bears repeating - I'd love to see coaches (particularly and GMs) in team histories. 5. I'd also like the ability to retire/unretire coaches and to enshrine them in the HOF. And a few non-coaching things 1. Add defensive stats to historical summaries. When I go back and click on a year in league history, it gives me standings, team batting stats, and team pitching stats. But no team fielding stats. There is a fielding register, which breaks players down by position - but I'd like to go back and see who was the best fielding team in a particular year. 2. Along that same line, I'd like to see the team batting/pitching stats have all the same stats that are present when you check team stats for a current season. For example - the current-season offensive stats include PA, HBP, SH, SF, CS...the historical summary stats don't. 3. A little more on the records page... - We can see individual records for the whole league, and by position. I'd like to see is split by sub-league, so if our all-time HR champion played in the NL, we can see the AL HR champ. - Also, the ability to define eras in the record books...for example, an all-time leader in pitching wins, and also since 1901. - And a few more team records - though now that I think about it, really the only one I'd want to see is longest winning/losing streaks. If we're going to break that down further, it could be longest winning/losing streak overall, and longest such streaks to start a season. Again, none of these are make-or-break for me and I'm excited to see the changes that will be made. But in my perfect world, these are things the game would have. |

over the years i've noticed minors leagues not having enough players for each position when the season starts. sometimes 6 catchers, and 3 pitchers. Or 15 pitchers and no 3B, etc.
The last version had not improved on this situation at all. Hopefully 22 will ??? i'd like future versions to have a drop down menu, so you could state how many players at each position the game would require to advance and have the AI make those moves instead of me having to go through each team before the season starts - making certain teams have enough players for every position.
