The next version of OOTP

What happens to the livestart option for OOTP 21 when the next version of OOTP baseball comes out. Will all of the players be current for OOTP 21 for this years MLB season?

I am pretty sure that Live Start only works for the current version of the game. So, it will not work for OOTP 21 with the 2021 season.
