Introducing the FHM7 html Boxscore Creator!
Introducing the FHM7 html Boxscore Creator!
Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ClV...ew?usp=sharing This is a visual basic script that will create boxscores for the top league in your save from the csv files FHM7 generates. Just so you all know, I am far from a professional programmer and even further removed from being an html programmer. That said, I think many of you will get good use out this script. This should work on Windows machines, and possibly Linux (through Wine). Sorry Mac users, I don't know if it will work on a Mac. How to use: In the FHM7 program, load your save and then create the csv files (under the "World" menu). Then, exit the game. Place the FHM7-BoxscoreCreator.vbs file in your game subfolder (the folder which contains all of the .dat files. Double click to launch and in a few minutes boxscores will be created in a subfolder (YOURGAME-FOLDER/import-export/html/boxscores). Note, the more games you have played, the longer it will take. Known Issues: 1) At present, the script will only create boxscores for the top league and Regular Season or Playoff games. I wasn't interested in creating Pre-Season games boxscores. If you have the knowledge, feel free to edit the script to include more or all of your sub-leagues. Note, the more boxscores the script needs to create, the longer it will take for the script to finish 2) I intentionally left out the performance line of each player. I was looking for an old style boxscore that just had the scorers and penalties. Again, if you posess the knowledge, feel free to edit the script 3) If the game goes to a shootout, it will not display who scores or misses in the shootout. This info is not in csv files as far as I can tell 4) At present, the Stars of the Game will only show the player's name. His position is not displayed nor his team (I may be able to bring the team name in eventually) 5) I've noticed that the Goalie minutes played does not always add up to the actual minutes played in the game. I'm not talking about when a team pulls their goalie and he plays a minute or so less than the other guy. I've noticed in some overtime games the goalie minutes EXCEEDES the actual minutes of the game. This, unfortunately, is how it is in the REAL boxscore in the actual game (and therefore, ends up in the csv file) 6) Unlike the boxscores within FHM7 itself, the goal scorer's goal tally for the season is not displayed. The same goes for the player(s) who assisted on the goal. This info is not in the csv files 7) Unfortunately, the csv file's Player's Team ID could change. For Example, If player A scores a goal for Team A in game # 1 and later gets acquired by Team B, Team B will be listed as the team he scored for if you run the script after the transaction. There is nothing I can do about this at this time I created this script for my Custom Game (Major, Minor, and Junior leagues). ***** Please be careful using this script on saves with many, many leagues ***** I believe it will still work, and will only create boxscores for you top league, but it has not been tested yet. Feel free to edit the script to your liking if you have the know how. Last edited by landru22; 02-10-2021 at 10:43 PM. |

Nice work. I'd love to see a version of this in FHM 8.
One question: If you have more than one "major" league (NHL/WHA, or NHL/PCHA, for instance), will it still work for both? |

I don't think so. It will only work for whichever league is identified as League ID 0.

The script will now create an html file that will display the results of all games played in the schedule with a link to the boxscore. The file format will be YOUR LEAGUE ABBREVIATION + "_Schedule_" + YEAR1 + "-" + Year2 + ".html"
For Example: NHL_Schedule_2020-2021.html If you wish you can link to this file from some main league page you create |

Just stumbled across this while searching for boxscore in the mods. Like that the full name is displayed and not just J. Smith.
Is this workable with FHM8? I've tried and I keep getting a error. Unfortunately not at home right now so can't tell you exactly what it was but it was a vbscript clnt in I think like 321. now that I'm home, here's a screenshot of the error:
