Roster Questions

Hello,
I have two questions about how the game manages rosters.

I'm playing an historical season and am Manager and GM for my team.

1) About a month ago (in game time) one of my starting pitchers went on the 15-day IL, but he seems stuck there. I watched his counter tick down to 1 day, but now ( good two weeks after the 15 days expired) he seems stuck on the IL. On the Injured List page, it shows 1 day under the "IL Time Left" column and is blank under the "INJ Time Left" column. When I try to drag him back up to the active roster, I get a pop-up that says "This player is not yet eligible to come off the IL."

I know that in real life, sometimes players don't come off the IL at 15 days because they're still not ready, but that's not what it's telling me.

2) About a week ago, we signed a free agent pitcher. My 40-man roster had space, but my 25-man was full. I expected that the game would force me to move someone off of the active roster, but the FA was added and I am able to play games with 26 men. I'm in the middle of June, so no expanded rosters are in play. On my active player list, it shows (26/25 Players).

Demote someone to the minors to give yourself 25 active players and advance a day and see what happens.
