see the entire rink at once

Honestly, the apparent inability to do this is what's keeping me from buying this game. I don't want the camera zooming around the ice - I want to see the entire ice at once with a static camera, just like how I like to play both OOTP and Football Manager.

Yes, this was mentioned previously in at least one other thread. I support this idea myself, even though the lack of it did not prevent me from buying the game.

I have yet to play FHM 7 extensively yet, though, and I am anticipating that this "camera zooming" will bother me as well. I got that feeling just by viewing the promotional video.

I hope that they will have a stationary rink as an option in FHM 7 before its product cycle expires. That is, before the final patch.

I think this has to do with you windows scaling. If I put mine at 100%, I can see the entire rink. However, the font is extremely small. My issue is that I shouldn't have to readjust my a computer every time to play one game. Plus, the audio and visual stuttering can be bad.

All other games I have are fine. This is what has kept me from playing it since I purchased it. So far, it's a "lost" purchase.

I agree on your last point.

I may buy this at sale price even if the camera zooming remains, but I'm not sure, and I'm definitely not going to pay full price as long as that remains. I know to some that may seem like a minor issue, but, to me, it's not. I need to be able to enjoy watching games, which is also why I had never even considered this game until this edition.

The visual stuttering from what I'm seeing on YouTube videos of the match engine ... yeah, that concerns me too, but I'd still give the game a go if I could see the entire rink at one time or get it on sale. (The audio stuttering doesn't affect me personally as I always mute the audio for the sports games that I play.)
