CHL Overage Issue

I'm currently playing as Swift Current in the WHL. I'm entering training camp and pre-season for the 2021-22 season and I'm still able to carry a couple of guys born in the year 2000 (i.e. Tyler Smithies born July 2000 & Brecon Wood born Dec 2000). I also have 6 guys in my line-up born in 2001 which exceeds the max 3 overages which is my understanding. Is this a bug or do limits not kick-in until the start of the season?

If they are contracted to an NHL team they don't count toward the overage limit of 3 players. Also the overage rule applies to players whose 'career age' is 20, this is the age that you see on the career stats page next to each season. So it's possible to have a player who turned 20 that season, but his 'career age' is still only 19, so he is not considered overage.

Thanks for the response but there's definitely seems to be an overage WHL bug happening. There's no way a team should be able to carry 21 year olds turning 22 and 6 20 year olds on their roster.

Could you upload that save? (instructions here) We're looking into a couple of issues with overage players, but nothing that severe, this looks like it may be something different.

Thanks, very odd, it looks like the game is simply ignoring the overage rules for your team but not for anyone else, we'll try to figure out what went wrong there.
