Probably dumb question: How do I "lock" a player in ?

I have a recurring issue where the AI is hell bent on starting an inferior player at RF and a refusal to leave my setup man in the bullpen, instead forcing him to get lit up every time he starts.

Is there and if so, how would I go about protecting them from "Ask AI to set up X" ? Ideally I'd like to tell the CPU you can make changes all the way around but leave this guy alone.

You can force start a player at any position using the individual player strategy settings.

Have you assigned yourself as responsible for setting all lineups rather than delegating them to the manager? Are you setting your lineups and your depth charts correctly vs. lefties and righties? Are you setting up your pitching staff correctly, including your rotation, relief roles, and pitcher positions (SP vs. RP)?

Someone else was able to answer the question. I was just looking for the easy button to lock a guy down, which is the force start option in player strat. Thanks though brother.
