How to manually remove/retire a League in historical mode?
And by the way, can you create one manually there too?
Thanks. Last edited by DarthYoda; 12-17-2020 at 07:20 AM. |

It's not possble to add or subtract leagues to historical, just to turn the activation (for the WHA) and deactivation (WCHL and WCHA) of the real leagues on and off. You can do a lot with the active non-NHL leagues, though, so if you wanted to take the WHA and turn it into, say, a Europe-based league and let it continue after 1979, that could be done.

What about the WCHL's propensity to play for the Stanley Cup? That can't be removed?

Apparently not. I've been starting my historical leagues in 1926 for that reason...

You can remove all but 2 teams from the other leagues and reduce their budgets to like $1000.They won't be able to sign enough players and your league will win the cup by default.

No, it's not possible to remove (or extend) the NHL-WCHL final, that's hardcoded in.
