FHM7 Hotfix, Version 7.1.101, Now Available
A new hotfix update for Franchise Hockey Manager 7, version 7.1.101, has just been released to fix a couple of critical issues with the release version of the game.
To apply the update: -If you are playing the FastSpring version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. -If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client. Download link for PC (FastSpring): Main server: PC Installer Fastspring Download link for Mac (FastSpring): Main Server: Mac Installer eSellerate Your existing savegames will be compatible with the updated game, but some of the update's fixes may not retroactively correct certain problems in existing saves. Changes -fixed crash on some systems when trying to start a new game -fixed crash when trying to click-and-drag scouts in the Fastspring version; instead of clicking-and-dragging, right-click on the scout's name and select the role you want to give him |

I'm on steam and it looks to have auto-updated. Im a little confused on the wording if i need to restart my dynasty on my save from this morning or not. I don't mind if i have to I just started it and filled out a few things than went to work so not much lost.

hes saying that they should work for your current save... in the event that it does then you will have to start a new file...

Update Didn't Take Effect
Hey, just asking as someone who has their first iteration and is using an old Dell, how does the build 101 update take effect? It didn't upon setting up the game again.

You may not have received the right file when you downloaded - the file size should be 1,210,474 KB., If it's not exactly that number, most likely your ISP was caching the file and gave you the one you downloaded earlier again. Cache has probably cleared at this point, so it should work if you download it again.

Don't know where else to ask this: can I import my FHM6 savegames without problems?

Thanks.
So the database will remain the same? I mean will the ability/potential numbers be the same (I've adjusted a lot of players) and will the newly retired players (like Williams, Green) still be there or just disappear? |

Almost exactly the same, just with a couple of new data fields that FHM7 needs added to it. Existing ratings won't change at all, and those players will still be there.

The instructions for uploading an FHM6 save are less than clear. In my case, I copied my FHM6 saved league file and pasted it into the FHM7 database. Then I restarted FHM7, pushed the FHM6 update button and my pasted in FHM6 file was listed. I selected it and the conversion process started up, eventually burping up the converted new file. No problem running this league in FHM7.
