Settings Issue?

I'm assuming I'm missing a checkbox somewhere. Started a league, GM and Manager, set all responsibilities to me in manager settings, but when I get to Free Agency, I try to make offers and discover there are offers on the table already that I didn't make and I have no cash to make the offers I want to make. I really love this game, but this is frustrating. What setting am I missing, can someone please help? Thank you in advance.

Can you post a picture of your manager options? Also, if youre simulating any days make sure "do not disturb" is unchecked?

Thanks for the response. My manager options are set to my name and have been for 2 seasons. I do have it in Commissioner Mode, which I haven't actually used so far in 21 (just got the game a couple days ago - used to play OOTP18). I do use Do not Disturb to avoid the flood of insanely dumb trade proposals from the computer, and a whole bunch of other emails I don't care about. Maybe that's it?

The only setting that I know of off-hand that will affect signings is "transactions" and "international amateur free agents", if you have both of these under your control and not the assistant GM I cant see why someone is offering contracts. Maybe your owner went rouge!!

Yeah you def want to uncheck that during free agency even one day and your assistant GM will start handing out contracts til you have no free money left.

I think it's the Do Not Disturb functionality. I will try that. Thank you for your help!

You can see under the box, the text says they'll sign free agents and even if you have it checked and are actively playing. It will supersede anything youre trying to do.

Yeah, I actually went back and re-read it. Sometimes I get ahead of myself.

I reccomend unchecking the box that stops sims for any trade messages.
