Development arc?
This seems great for me (The Aging attribute had been split into Aging and a new attribute, Development Rate to make our modelling of player career arcs more flexible.)
Would this align with baseball dev and aging attribute?? Or is something more enhanced? The problem i have had on the baseball side is the attributes on aging did not seem to make players play longer. (because their skills don't deteriorate as fast) Hoping this is a step that allows you to control that better |

Aging controls the length of careers, DevRate controls how quickly players develop (and there are many other factors affecting both, of course, but those two attributes have the largest influence.)
The biggest impact will be on guys who get very good, very early - previously, it was a little difficult for game-generated players to get the Gretzky/Lemieux/Crosby/McDavid type of career path where they're already NHL star-caliber players at 17 but have long careers after that. Players would either develop slowly and stay around forever, or develop very quickly but burn out equally fast. Now, there's a lot more variability and uncertainty about what path they'll follow (and some of that's been incorporated into the scouting feedback you get, too.) |

Hmmm thanks! Interesting in baseball it was explained aging effect rate at skills deteriorate.....presumably allowing them to play longer, however that that is not the case in simming.

Not wanting to necro an old thread but it's touched on here so... Does a higher number for Aging essentially mean they burn out quicker? For example, If I'm looking for a player who can maintain his ability for a long time would I want a high number in Aging or lower number? Thanks. |

The opposite, higher Aging = longer career.
