Market size & fan loyalty
Hi,
In my save with the Cardinals the market size was very big in my first season, but for the second it is "only" big. Likewise fan loyalty changed from extreme to very good. What is the reason behind? ![]() I do not think that our performance was particularly bad, we won the Central Division, but lost the Division Series against the Braves. Also in the offseason we brought in some big names, each time with the report that fan interest increased (that was already at 100%). |

Did you happen to ask the game to assign fictional finances to teams? That can re-adjust market sizes and other financials. Otherwise, your change in market size is likely a result of recent changes to payroll, ticket prices, on-field performance or other factors. I don't have a detailed understanding of how market size works in OOTP, but I believe there are a number of factors that can influence it, and I believe it's a measure of your club's finances and appeal rather than the city or market where it plays. You can potentially use the search function on these forums to find other threads and posts that discuss how market size works.

Did you give cash or start a charity for a player. I only recently learned that these reduce the market size, by 1 or 2, respectively. There is a thread discussing this, but I don't have a link to it right off the bat.
