Unexpected Historical Import Rating
I'm importing some historic players to make a league and I've found some oddities I was hoping people could explain to me.
Here is one glaring example: I want to import Billy Wagner's 1999 season where he absolutely dominated. When I go to import him, his overall rating is 2.5 stars out of 5 and his stuff/movement/control is 60/50/40. How is his stuff only 60??? He struck out 124 batters in 74 innings that year?! And is there a way to historically adjust ratings? Like I get that Walter Johnson and Dutch Leonard "barely" strike out anyone relative to today's starters, but for their time, they were great. When I import their peak seasons, they have stuff below 50! |

Sadly, this has to be done entirely by hand, since ratings are not stored in the game's database. |

Don't know if this will help, but I had a similar issue when trying to re-do the Dodgers' 1986 season with the counterfactual of Pedro Guerrero not wrecking his knee in spring training. Despite being one of the best hitters of the Eighties, his numbers kept coming in at 35/55/45.
But then I tried using the Career setting on the first page of the Historical Wizard, and that made all the difference: 75/65/55. |
