Diamond starting pitchers

Is their any diamond level starting pitcher who does well at the diamond level?

Depends on definition of well? In PT 20 there were dominant pitchers like CY Young Legend, but PT 21 the pitchers are not as dominant. FOTF Maddox or Spahn are the best.

Yes in PT 20 their were diamond pitchers who were top notch perfect league pitchers like Vida Blue, Don Sutton, Harry Brecheen to name a few. In PT 21 you need a perfect to compete at highest levels.

When combined with solid def and a denial park, these guys can compete-ish:

99 Greg Maddux
98 Pete Alexander
99 Rube Marquard
97 Waite Hoyt
98 Gaylord Perry
97 Jerry Reuss
97 Whitey Ford
98 Kevin Brown
97 Addie Joss
95 Eddie Plank
97 Deacon Phillippe

Be ready to flip them to your bullpen or reserves when they go cold. Many of these can be deployed in SP+(Stopper/Specialist) rolls during a season.

The 99 Maddux still holds up under these circumstance and the 95 Eddie Plank can be pretty solid out of the bullpen most of the time. All of the cards listed are fairly consistent in performance but when they have a bad year in a Diamond league, they have a BAD year. I probably should have relegated my 99 Maddux to my bullpen this year but I had hoped he would turn it around. He posted a back to back strong years a couple seasons ago. In 2046 he had a 3.49 ERA/1.15 WHIP and in 2047 it was 2.84ERA/1.12 WHIP. Other than that I don't use a under 100 rated SP in the rotation.

Good collection of Diamond level pitchers. They can pitch in the bottom half of a rotation at the Diamond level, but they are mainly to be used in the bullpen.
