How to edit ballpark view
I know nothing about editing 3D ballpark models. I'm currently playing in the Kingdome and the in-game ballpark is... screwy. How do I cut off that ugly bit of upper deck at the bottom of the image and prevent the CF from covering up the infield positioning pulldown?
Any help is most appreciated. |

You have to go into the Ballpark editor and move them about manually. But it is cumbersome, and you often have to go back and do it numerous times after playing games to get it right because the model doesn't show the placement of your widgets. Same with cameras, which is how you change your POV to cut out the barricade. It'd be great if you could move them about in game but as far as I know that isn't possible.

The cameras are even harder to get exactly the way you want them. For them you just have to go into the 3D model tab and muck about with them until you get the view you want. Save any changes as a new camera and then again you'll need to test them in game until you've got them how you want them. Again I'm sure there has to be a more advanced way of getting this to your liking, but I don't know of it and have used the methods described - with limited success, mind you - to get things how I want them to be. |

Here are some instructions I saved from a post that I am now unable to locate. They give a more technical description of how to move cameras.
On the top of the right hand side of your screen you should see two sets of XYZ axis controls. The top changes your camera angle, while the bottom set moves your camera's "physical" location. You can adjust how far it moves by changing the cm next to either setting. X+ moves you to the right, and X- to the left, Y+moves you down and Y- moves you up, and Z+ moves you forward and Z- moves you back. Adjust the camera to your liking and then press save camera (ALWAYS PRESS SAVE CAMERA) and name it (or overwrite the default.) It should appear in game for you then. |
