Is it a bug ? Pitching substitution

Hey guys, just saw that one of my pitchers got 3 strikeouts facing 3 straight batters but didn't get the 1-2-3 achievement. I was curious so I went into the game log and saw that my SP started the inning but even before facing the first batter, he was pulled and replaced by that 1-2-3 RP, hence why no achievement.

Is it considered a bug ? Seems weird to me that a pitcher would take the mound and be pulled before his first pitch, unless he injured himself during warmup or was struck by lightning.

What do you think ?

You only get the 1-2-3 for a save anyway. The gamelogs have always shown pitcher substitutions like this.
