The Super Slam League is loosely based on the international concept of the Super Rugby league and the inspiration for the name is taken from the Big Bash League.

The story behind the establishment of the league is a post-pandemic world where baseball nations have come together to form an international competition to encourage cooperation between countries.


20 Clubs from 10 different nations are divided into 4 regional conferences in two subleagues.

Default rules consist of

• Designated Hitter
• Modified Extra Innings (Runner on 2nd)
• 144 Game Regular Season
• 25 Player Active Roster
• One Developmental/Minor League Squad with 40 Player Rosters (Separated into two regional leagues)
• Trading enabled, including draft pick trading
• 3 Round Amateur Draft every October
• International Amateur Signing Period every July
• 2 Service Years for arbritration, 5 Service Years for Free Agency

The Native 5 Rule has been removed, which previously required clubs to carry at least 5 players from the nation they represent.
The Asian Developmental League has one team, the Nagano Hawks, not affiliated with any SSBL club. This was necessary to prevent an odd number of teams in the league. Trades can be made with the team, so it can be treated as a league-reserve squad for players unable to sign with professional teams. The first year of the Developmental Leagues will be one year after the innagural season in order to give rosters some time to settle down.

You can obviously edit these to your own liking if desired. Modified Extra Innings is in place because of its prevalence in international competitions already. Only 10% of the draft pool will be High School players, in order to speed up the development process. Development speed is set to 1.275, so top prospects will likely be able to contribute from their first or second year.

Market sizes are set to default, you can manually change it before the league starts to represent the cities. Rookie of the Year Award is also disabled for the first year as all players have their service times set to zero. Enable it after a year or two if you wish to have it.

Do you find the AI actually will target/draft players from their own nation, or does that end up causing some difficulties?

So far the AI doesn't seem to have the tendency to do that, but with a bit of tweaking there haven't been many roster shortages so far

This quickstart has been updated.
Each team now has a minor league reserves squad, and various rules and modifiers were adjusted after further testing.
