Problem....

We had an electrical storm come through here 2 days ago. I shut down my computer quickly, and apparently I did it too quickly. Took me 2 hours to re-start and get a screen picture. Long story.

Anyway, after installing new updates, everything seems fine.....except a big problem.

My screen on the say the roster page, and player page is now transparent, no colors, or anything like it was.

Can anyone help?

I thought it may be background colors in the file folder, but didn't do anything.

Can't say I've seen that. First thing I'd do is trying flipping skins (Start the game > Settings > Skins > change to FHM to Dark or vice versa). Restart your game, and see if it made a difference.

If it didn't, you may need to do a reinstall to see if that fixes it.

I flipped the skins.....nothing happened.

Do I need to contact ootp to get a re-install?

I re-installed, everything seems to look fine. Haven't created a team yet so we'll see.

I created a new season. Worked all day to get the the expansion draft. All seemed good. I Saved the game on the 30th of June.

I exited out and went to town.

Came back, tried to load the game, it said it could not create a file folder.

All my other seasons I deleted. Now I have a game, that I can not create a file folder, so I am dead in the water.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just purchased this game on June 20th. Now I need a hand from the creators, I guess.

If you can't create a file, usually that means one of two things:

Easy option:

(1) You're not running the game in administrator mode. You need to be. It's possible that you may have to reinstall it in this mode, but you can try right clicking on it and Run As Adminstrator.

Not as Easy Mode:

(2) Or, you're out of HDD space. How much room do you have on your HDD? You may need to create more than what you currently have.

As I said, Right Click on the icon. Run As Adminstrator

Thanks Adam B, for your suggestions, it really helped. After a couple of days trying to fix the problem, the re-download of the game worked after the 2nd try. The Transparency is gone, and back to normal.

I was in Administrator mode all along. The problem was not the game but my computer. After taking your suggestions, I look through all my options, which took a lot of time.

My problem is ME. I used to program in the early 70's. I'm now close to 70, Now the programs pretty much run themselves. Having been able to read code, I understand some of what is going, although the apps muddy up the waters.

My heart is on it last legs according to my cardiologist, so when I get tired or frustrated, I have to leave it, but I think of what could be the problem.

Your suggestions got me pointed in the right direction. It seems to be working fine.

Thanks to answering my question of the problem, I appreciate it, very much, now its time for hockey :-)
