One of my Tournament teams destroyed somebody

I was checking in on one of my Bronze tournament teams and saw that they were first in runs scored by more than 200 runs, and I found this game/box score. Check out Ryan Yarbrough's line.

I think Yarbrough's arm has not only fallen off, but has disintegrated.

I want to see the batting box for this one. 175 runs, all earned, on only 73 hits? How many homers did your team hit?

Insanely, they only hit 2. It's all about the patience, over 80 walks.

Way more than 80 walks. That's not the subtotal, that's the amount for the one pitcher.

Some players should have swung at some 3-0 pitches

Only 2 homers and 2 k's and over 100 walks. COVID or not, no fans would be in the stands for that!

He was getting squeezed by the ump.
The catcher probably had to use crutches to get to and from the dugout to home plate after a while.
1,025 pitches, ouch. Poor guy won't be out of bed for a week.

I can already hear the Knights Manager at the top of the 9th "Alright boys, all we need is to get on base, then anything can happen - 85 bloops and a blast and we are back in this".

OOTP does not model position players pitching very well. If this were a regular game and if regular season totals have to closely match 2010 stats, every other pitcher in the league would suddenly acquire great control for the remainder of the season!

How does something like this even happen? I mean I guess it is fun to look at for a second but on the other hand it is down right ridiculous and should never happen.

My guess is the team was already very tried before the game started, and then ran out of players who could possibly pitch and being the last one in, he was forced to pitch when he was 100% exhausted. And having a pitcher pitch when they are 100% exhausted and get over 100 pitches breaks the game.

I have thousands of hours in this game since the mid-2010s and I've never seen something like this. Must be so rare there is no safeguards to prevent it.
