League Total Modifers in non-MLB size leagues
I get that you can import any MLB totals and modifiers to achieve a reasonable approximation of that MLB season's stats.
If you have, for example, a 20 team league, each team still playing a 162-game schedule, how should the LTM's be adjusted to reflect MLB numbers within the smaller league? Would an "auto-calc" just prior to the season recognize the 20-teams instead of 30 in the totals before calculating modifiers? Is there any other recommended way to achieve MLB stats in a smaller league? |

This is a strange question. The "Totals" are pro rata, not actual totals. So they adjust the way all rates do. It does NOT take, say 2000 home runs and divvy them up by the total number of teams. It takes the 'rate' of homering and applies that to any size season.
By your question, I'm not sure you really understand this concept.

So simply apply the current MLB settings to ANY sized league and you are good to go. No further adjustments are needed. None at all.

Thanks.
The second answer was exactly what I was looking for. Sorry for the clumsy question. |
