How Do YOU Develop Mariano Rivera?

Some of you may have heard the name, Mariano Rivera. For those who have not, he was an up-and-coming Starting Pitcher for the New York Yankees who showed a bit of promise in the early 1990s. For 5 years he worked as a SP, unit the Yankees thought maybe he could contribute in the bullpen.

If you draft Mariano Rivera in OOTP do you use him as a SP in Rookie & A ball? Do you keep him as an SP even longer? Or do you just make him a Closer on day one? I will have a nervous breakdown if I ruin this kid's development...

He was offered to me in a trade the other day. Preseason 1992. I had a hunch he might turn into something, but I didn't pull the trigger. Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make,
