Custom League problems/questions/confusion
So I made my own league, the Canadian-American league. two leagues (Canadian and American) of 8 teams each.
The league itself runs very well from a stats/sim perspective, but i'm running into two very noticable quirks which I quickly noted in a 10 year test sim. 1: For some reason all the rookie drafts are filled with old farts aged between 34 and 37... My AAA/AA (only feeders) are max age 30, the majors is a minimum age of 20, draft has been set to 8 rounds (8 gen), 0% HS target, and 30% JuCo target %. The idea being that the draft is filled with college players and 10% eligible foreigners. In the players settings for the CABA I have set 20/45 as the generated ages, which I assume(?) is only relevant for the starting gen. Origins are CAN/USA with 10% random. If I look at the international complexes of teams, they are perfectly fine with players aged from 16 to 20. I'm utterly confused as to why every draft pool is aged 34 to 37 with literally nobody younger in those drafts. After a 10 year test sim, the league's average age is 'ancient', with most teams having only a handful of (international) players under the age of 35. 2: On top of that, it seems like the scouting ratings are also completely borked, with a craptonne of players getting 80 ratings and another craptonne getting 20 with the actual middle/average ratings being scarce... Most of the ratings also make no lick of sense, with utterly terrible pitchers being rated 80 and great players being rated 20... I think something might be going wrong... 762 out of 2104 players are rated 80 776 out of 2104 players are rated 20 Meaning nearly 75% of all players in the database are either rated 20 or 80?! And a whopping 36% are 80 rated?! On a third note, for some reason states like Aland (which isn't even an actual nation), Andorra, and Vatican City have 'excellent' baseball ratings. Leading to a crazy situation where 7% of Vatican city's entire population is a baseball player... I'm utterly confused, and I hope someone can explain to me the mistakes I am undoubtedly making.
