Waiting on live update to July 24 ?

My online league is at July 22nd in game date.
We will be running daily sims and using the live update feature,
It was announced to wait until July 24th to use that function.

I am not clear on how to sim ? Should I sim to the 23rd to get to opening day......put up a new league file, then wait until real life date July 24th and run the live update at that time, then start normal simming ?

Please advise

PS team ID's is reported to be incorrect in game using Stats+ live sim feature...........will that be fixed?
We are using the 60 game feature

The only in-game live update feature once a game is active is to use it to update player ratings. If that's the function you're talking about, then you can simply run your league like normal, and then every day (or whenever you want), use the league function to "Update Player Ratings using Live Stats", and it will simply update player ratings based on how they have done in the current season.
