Long Hitting Streak Ended Because of Pinch Hitting
Recently, I've seen two 30+ game hitting streaks ended because the player was used as a pinch hitter and only got one AB. I wish there were some safeguards put in place to prevent this from happening. IRL, I don't think a manager would allow this to occur knowing that he would risk alienating both the player and the fans.

Of course, but wouldn't you agree that a 31 game hitting streak is most likely going to belong to an everyday player? If I had a regular player who's got on base at least once over his last 30 games, why would I want to sit him? Odds are that he probably dropped a few additional hits during that streak. The only reason I can think of off the top of my head to bench him would be him being injured but trying to play through it or something like that. Or, maybe my name is Pete Rose and I've got $1,000,000 bet that his hitting streak ends tonight.
I don't know. That was just a quick thought. And my name isn't really Pete Rose plus I don't have $1,000,000 either.
