Suggestions: Winning Streak Acknowledgment and Tracking
In the year 2006 in my fictional league, the AI-run Cleveland Blues are neck-and-neck with my Chicago White Sox thanks in no small part to an incredible 20-game winning streak. I realize that doesn't match the real-world AL or MLB record-long winning streaks, but I'm shocked that there is no news item in my in-game inbox about this. I know OOTP generates an email acknowledgment of 10-game winning streaks, but I don't believe that happens for every single 10-game streak. It would be great to acknowledge such sustained success (especially by an AI-run team!).
Also, I was wondering how Cleveland's 20-game streak matched up against other winning streaks in my league's history, which dates back to 1901...but I can't find a record of longest team winning streaks anywhere. If they truly aren't tracked, could they be added to the League History somewhere? (And if they are tracked and I'm just completely missing where that info can be seen, can someone teach this old OOTP dog a new trick?) Thanks! Postscript: Right after I posted this, Cleveland finally lost a game. Nice to see message board reverse jinxes are in OOTP! Last edited by JasonC23; 06-29-2020 at 11:33 PM. |

The MLB record is 26 by the 1916 New York Giants and the AL record was set in 2017 by the Indians at 22. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_longest_winning_stre aks
Side note: the Giants record was amazing due to the 9 double headers it entailed and the fact that they never moved up in the standings.
