This week

In one of the silver leagues I'm in, the Forestville Ferns (706-103 all-time) managed to lead the league in every statistical category except for home runs in which they finished dead last. I'm not kidding. 140-21 with one game left. What first intrigued me was their awfully lopsided run differential (+755). They were 1st in BA, runs scored, ERA, strikeouts & defensive effeciency. 30th in home runs. Outscored opponents 1147 to 392.

BTW, what is The Players Choice Diamond Club?

I'd guess it wasn't a HR park...hold on, I'll see if I can find them...

As I'm reading here, AVG., 2B, & 3B are set at 1.0.

HR at .9.

25 foot wall in the outfield all the way around.

From 310 down the lines to 405 feet to center field.

Weather: on the cold side, wind blowing in from center at 10 MPH on average.

Overall they won 3 more games on the road (72) than at home (69)

Just for my own peace of mind, the only stats that matter here are are avg, 2b, 3b and HR settings correct? The dimensions of the park are purely for aesthetics? In other words walls could be set for 100 feet tall and only thing that matters is the first set of stats I mentioned?

My question is how is this team in the Silver League? Obviously it’s a team that buys PP to build their team, but seems like they have enough W’s to have played a lot of seasons unless they went 162-0 in the Entry League.

And yeah Wall size and distance shouldn’t matter if avg, 2b, 3b, HR settings are manually set. You can change wall dimensions and choose to have the park factors adjusted based on that, but doesn’t look like they did that.

For your own peace of mind? Yes, sure. But I mean...the other variables are there. I mean...yeah, the other ones make no difference at all.

The visuals are a little confusing but it's a computer program so I guess maybe, I'll leave it at that.

They have only played about 800 games. They have the rookie and stone levels in 3.0.

Peace of mind for me due to me still learning about how the ballpark affects things....not really meaning I was disagreeing with you.

From what I've been told, the park dimensions mean nothing unless you click on the auto calculate......if I'm wrong I'd like someone to correct me.

Someone told me the outfield wall heights were purely for aesthetic purposes but that was a poor explanation, at least in PT 2.0 because the visual changes don't take effect. Or maybe in Perfect Team. Maybe it's based mostly on the park factors but like the wind blowin in average 10 MPH...unless it's weather just for weather's sake...you know?

My explanation is it COULD have some effect. You can't always go to an authority because they're busy designing the stuff.
