PT Cliffnotes?
I can't seem to find a (little bit more) detailed rundown of PT. I'm obv new to the game but have been very active in an online league so I have a good grasp of ootp. My questions are:
How does this entry level league work? Does everyone play an equal number of games by the end of the week? I jumped in Wednesday and see it goes until Sunday night, some people have played +/-20 games than me. I know everyone goes to rookie league next. Is there some sort of balance in the league, or are they all just randomly selected teams you get grouped with? Does each "season" you play advance "time"? Will my guys ever get better or worse/ or age? In following leagues, do they follow an MLB style schedule/divisions etc? I'm sure if I dug a bit deeper or just waited until Monday, some or all of these would be answered, and I have watched some tutorial videos, but these questions don't seem to get answered. Any and all responses appreciated. |

Teams that enter Monday will play more games than teams that enter later in Entry pool. Results don't carry over. Think of it as spring training.
Teams get assigned randomly to rookie league, unless you set a preference to go with friends. Players don't age as seasons progress. Your 28 year old player will be 28 forever. From stone on up, you generally follow an MLB style with 2 sub-leagues of 3 divisions of 5 teams each. Win your division to make the playoffs, or sneak in as a wild card. Seasons run Monday to Saturday, with playoffs on Sunday. If you make the playoffs, they work like MLB playoffs. Wild card games, best of 5 divisional round, best of 7 sub-league series, best of 7 championship. Depending on the needs of the week, a set number of teams (usually between 6 and 8) are promoted to the next level, or relegated back a level. You can track that in the standings with the pro/rel button.
