Los Angeles Browns? What if?
So I found this article from MLB.com fascinating:
https://www.mlb.com/news/featured/th...seball-forever This was a baseball tidbit I had not heard before. But I love the "what if" idea in the article, and would LOVE to play it out in OOTP. But I can't do anything halfway -- so I would need a graphics set to go with each fictional team. And try as I might, my efforts are not as good as others here in the forums. If there were anyone out there that would want to take a stab at the teams mentioned in the article, I think that would be awesome! If not, no worries... Thanks!

That looks like quite a few teams.. Please list the teams needed, cities and nicknames and I will give it some consideration... No promises though...

So here's the list of fictional teams as I see it:
Los Angeles Browns San Francisco Athletics Minnesota Giants Dallas Dodgers Atlanta Senators Washington Stars Anything else appears to be a re-use or rebranding of existing (or once-existed) teams.

Minneapolis Giants can be found in this thread. There's also a Twin Cities Giants variation a few pages further along

txranger - you just read my mind with this one. This is awesome. Thanks!
I'm currently simming this, handling the moves myself, to see how things look and turn out. I'll try to get some screenshots as I go.

The second Dallas Dodgers is exactly how I pictured the uniforms would be! Well done txranger! Two questions, though, if you don't mind:
1. What is the font you used for the "Dallas" script on the front of the road jersey, and... 2. ...would alternative timeline txranger grown up as a Dallas Dodgers fan? Thanks!

Especially since the Rangers never happen in this alternate timeline!

1. I made that using the D, the s and tail from the Dodgers script... Then added in the alla in between using a similar font... The font is Daily Grind... 2. Possibly... I have always been a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, not so much of LA... Last edited by txranger; 06-18-2020 at 07:03 PM. |

I did up a full history set for every team that needed one. Some are just renamed files from existing sources, some are cribbed from stuff at sportslogos.net (mostly from SFGiants58's threads).
I tried to basically follow the styles used by the real franchises through time, or reallocated logos from team to team where appropriate - for the Pilots they basically take over the Mariners' style. One thing I did was rename the Washington Stars to the Washington Nationals, as that was the most likely name they would have taken at the time - and they just inherit the modern-day Nationals styles when they come into existence. https://www.mediafire.com/file/4zwgv...story.zip/file A few example images: |
