The Superbas were shut out 4-0 by the Giants.

More concerning was that Mordecai Brown left the game with a sore shoulder and Bill Jackson left the game with a sore thumb. They are saying Brown's next start should not be affected and Jackson should be fine after a day off.

WP - John Deering (1-0)
LP - Mordecai Brown (0-1)

Spring Record - 1-1

Bugs Raymond struggled a bit in the 1st before settling right down and leading the Superbas to an 8-2 win over the Pirates.

Steven Brantley left the game after a collision on the base paths but we are told that he will just be on light duties for a few days.
