Most Immersive Way to Watch Games Play Out
In what way do people feel the most immersive way to watch games might be? I hire a manager, and therefore let him do the strategy...but I still like to see the action unfold...but it can get long and boring.
Real Time Webcast? 3D Broadcast? 2D Broadcast? Classic Gamecast? Highlights? Replay? Obviously there are a plethora of options, so I’m wondering which ones draw people into their games..after all there are so many games, so it’s important to be sucked in. |

I like to control all aspects or the org, so I manage every game as well as being the GM (and maintaining all MiLB rosters and transactions).
I've been playing in 3D since it was developed but I think I'm going to go back to 2D for reasons that have just been outlined in another post. For me, the GM/management aspect of OOTP is what attracted me to the game, but I get a better feel for my players by watching the games play out and I'm a hands on control freak so I like to manage. As for watching though, 3D or 2D doesn't really matter to me at this point. |

Classic 2D. I prefer to read the pbp rather than 3D graphics.

I'm with Andy. I have classic 2D and listen to game speech like it's radio.

3D broadcast and still enjoy just the wide camera for all 3 camera settings.

I really like the new animations this year, i find i can get into it more compared to blips on the screen.

I'm classic 2D all the way. I play using short play by play/instant.

Modern 2D with minimal widgets and with as much text as possible.
(Was a Classic 2D guy for years but just gave up due to the clunkiness of setting all the positions and base runners, set ups that would often just shift back to default on their own.) |

3D, either wide view or HP for all three cameras.
Unfortunately, I've found that my eyes didn't adjust well to quick switching camera views and follow the ball (which I was really interested in), so I picked views I liked best and set all three cameras the same. It's still great.

I created extra camera views for dugouts and different areas of the grandstands and bleachers. Picking a spot like I'm sitting in the stands is pretty immersive for me. I've only attended a handful of MLB games in my life and watching that way really brings me back to that unique and rare (for me) feel of being at a game.

I've been messing around with some really great camera settings from another forum member as well as 3d settings that provide much smoother camera movement when following the ball. I really felt like the new cameras feature was anti-climatic and went back to the old way I watched games.
Now, I have been using a really nice camera view from behind the plate and when following the ball, while not perfect, found some settings that have it fairly smooth and allows me to get much closer to the action and what's going on in the game. (more immersion) When I get some time, I was going to post the file with all his wonderful cameras you can import into your stadiums and all the settings I'm currently using to get a fairly realistic real life broadcast of an actual MLB game. |

I go back and forth. the variety keeps me engaged. My favorite thing to do is to start real time simulation and watch the league unfold on the live coverage screen.
