Rehab question
If a player has been off for more than 3 months is he ready to play or do we need to send him to rehab...

I always send to rehab after they have been on the 60 day.
A pitcher needs 2 to 3 starts or appearances for a reliever. A position player needs about 12-20 plate appearances to knock off rust. Those are "my" observations and rules. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

He is going to have the "rust" mechanic on him at the very least. So you want him on the rehab stint so he can shake it off in the minors.
Now if your MLB team is just absolutely awful and you don't care then it doesn't matter what you do with him. Supposedly a rehab stint for big injuries is suppose to lessen the chance of a re-injury but I've had pitchers re-injure on rehab stints so I'm not sure if the game mechanic is in fact 100% working or if it just lessens the chance one of those OOTP mysteries. Rust is real and needs about 2 or 3 weeks on an active roster to knock it off. They technically need any game time just being on the active roster is enough mechanics wise. |
