Luke Appling
For those needing & can afford a stud Shortstop 100 Luke Appling for the 8 season I've been having him is a 10+ war player every year. He does everything for the team except work the concession stand. I bat him 3rd ahead of Frank Thomas and averages over 100 runs a year and has twice driven in 100 RBI. Wins Great Glove at SS & Great Bat at SS every year. Another very nice surprise for my White Sox players only team has been 3rd baseball left handed hitter Frank Isbell .300 40 steals a year

I have like using this card as well. Been very effective. Wasn't a terribly unreasonable mission, but still costly. The Wynn I got on the way has been a really good pitcher for me.

Wondering who you have hitting 1st and 2nd, because Appling should be hitting first atleast against rhp with that high contact and eye.

How much is SE Appling going for? Haven't seen one on the AH
Finally going thru the live missions for my White Sox team and should have about 50k pp by the end of the week... wondering if I should pounce on the Big Unit or worth the long wait saving up for Appling. Last edited by dbqs; 06-02-2020 at 01:34 PM. |

I play with White Sox only cards so hitting Appling 3rd is best place for him. 100 runs scored, 90-100 RBI...but mostly Jack Fournier & Shoeless Joe Jackson hit 1 & 2. My problem with White Sox are the pitching, but as a whole Pitching for PT21 sucks. Say like the card makers picked a 94 Ed Walsh (1909 year) 15 win season over the 1908 40 win season to make. Just bought the highest rated White Sox pitcher RED FABER whose a 95. I mean you really can't advance too far with your best pitchers on the team being a 95 card. Appling is only 100 card Shoeless Joe is only a 91 but his Cleveland Indians is a 100. Not much respect given to White Sox team. So in general I make it to GOLD then get demoted to Silver for 2 seasons then back to GOLD. I just faced 4 straight 100 pitchers . Card developers don't get White Sox collectors much of a winning chance. I've sent them request for great pitchers cards they never touched but if they did it was a mediorce season with mediocre card....something has just changed this year in ratings & things a bit off...maybe i'm just getting tired of same ole same ole. then a couple seasons ago i was close to 110 losses & my pitchers getting shelled last month of season so I tried swapping out lower rated pitchers to see if anyone would be effective & I got message I couldn't do it bc I was tanking..LMAO...how can a 110 loss team tank? Just sumpin at right |

I see you outbid me for that Faber! I will say I think there are a lot MORE Sox cards this year, about 110 or so by my count. Hopefully we'll get a better pitcher or two this year! One consolation is a gold-level Sox tournament team can be pretty competitive, with some good cards like Fox, Bonura, and Sale... Last edited by dbqs; 06-04-2020 at 05:28 PM. |
