Can Anyone Figure Out Why These Rosters Are Invalid?

The most dreaded of OOTP pop-ups: The game can't advance because of invalid rosters.

It's Opening Day in an imaginary Mexican League. Spring training ran without a hitch. The very first game of the regular season pits Yucatan against Tabasco. Then comes the pop-up.

The roster limit is 28. There are no limits on foreign players. So far as I can discern, both teams' rosters are entirely legal and proper. Yet either something is wrong, or a bug has crept into game.

Anybody have any idea where the insect is hiding?

I think the foreign players were the problem.

Do you institute the 40-man roster situation? If so, is there a player not on it that is on the active roster?

Everybody on the active roster is on the 40-man roster.

Just to be clear, the AI is handling all LBM teams. I haven't touched them.

No. LBM has always been an international league. In one respect, its setup is wrong. I added minor leagues to it after it was initially established, and for some reason the game insists that teh minors have financials. I haven't been able to get rid of those, but they don't appear to affect anything. You may have seen my report of that problem in the playtesters' forum.

That’s really strange. If it’s possible to upload the .dat files, I could poke around and try to figure it out. I suspect it may have something to do with those minors

Once in a while, the AI fails to sign at least nine players for a team. That's the only other situation in which I've received the "invalid rosters" pop-up. That problem is easy to correct by either adding players manually in Commissioner mode or turning on the "ghost players" option. This time, however, both teams that are scheduled to play and all of the other teams in the league have full rosters.

It’s a guess, but one of the other teams scheduled to play that day may not have enough players.

That was my first thought, too, but Tabasco vs. Yucatan is the day's only game (the other teams' openers are the next day), and every team in the league has a full roster.

I had something similar happen to me and it was an issue of my league and regional settings for countries. Can you post a screen shot of that. Why don't you also turn on ghost olayers for minors just in case.

Turning on ghost players was something that I tried. It didn't have any effect.
