The Grand Slam of Greatest Historical MLB Teams
A grand slam is a bases loaded homerun, but it's also the most important tournament of the tennis calendar. Grand slams have 128 players, so this tournament will have 128 teams. I've ranked the teams in order of Pythag W-L%, which reflects what the teams' regular season records should've been based on their run differentials. I have no idea how to do the fancy pants graphics thing, so I'm just gonna write it out. Please bear with the simple, and very boring layout. I'll post the final series tally, and the MVP for each series. Top quarter of the draw:
1. 1906 Chicago Cubs (h) 128. 1904 Boston Americans 64. 2001 Oakland Athletics (h) 65. 1954 Chicago White Sox 32. 1912 New York Giants (h) 97. 1911 Pittsburgh Pirates 33. 1975 Cincinnati Reds (h) 96. 1920 Cleveland Indians 16. 1954 Cleveland Indians (h) 113. 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers 49. 1947 New York Yankees (h) 80. 1949 Brooklyn Dodgers 17. 2001 Seattle Mariners (h) 112. 1972 Oakland Athletics 48. 1971 Baltimore Orioles (h) 81. 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates 8. 1942 St. Louis Cardinals (h) 121. 2013 St. Louis Cardinals 57. 1935 Detroit Tigers (h) 72. 1986 New York Mets 25. 1936 New York Yankees (h) 104. 1912 Pittsburgh Pirates 40. 1974 Los Angeles Dodgers (h) 89. 1915 Boston Red Sox 9. 1904 New York Giants (h) 120. 1958 New York Yankees 56. 1976 Philadelphia Phillies (h) 73. 1934 Detroit Tigers 24. 1953 New York Yankees (h) 105. 1935 St. Louis Cardinals 41. 1935 Chicago Cubs (h) 88. 1904 Cleveland Naps |

Yeah, I hate 'em, too. Several Yankee vs Brooklyn Dodger match ups. Hopefully the Bums get the better of them this time.
