Fan interest?
So I started playing the SF Giants in 1958, and had around 71 fan interest.
In 1959, we got really lucky and won the World Series, beating the Yankees in five games. The fan interest did not change. I then traded a .167-hitting reserve outfielder and the fan interest dropped a point. So win a World Series at home and lose fan interest because I traded Paul Price? Then Candlestick opens in 1960. Fan interest does not change. I trade Mike McCormick, a fan favorite, and lose six points of fan interest. I trade him for an all-Star, Pete Runnels, and that gets me one point back. Oh, and the Giants are one game out of first place. I think it might be worth a look at the fan interest algorithm. |

I've actually thought fan interest is completely flakey for certain teams at least in previous versions.
I remember as Oakland in 19 my fan interest never moved by winning. But Pittsburgh in 19 fan interest would move depending on how good you were. Yes fan favorite signings or releases moved it too. But winning did as well. |

My Oakland save.
For the first 25 or so seasons it stayed the same. Then we went on a tear and it shot up over the next decade. |

It started moving up in 2045.
Now we are the freaking Yankees. |
