World Baseball Alliance quickstart

This is a quickstart for my World Baseball Alliance universe. It is set on Opening Day of the 1960 season with all prior history erased (the 1960 World Baseball Championship tournament has happened, though).

I believe you'll need the included names, first_names, and world_default files in your /database/ folder. But maybe not.

This was created for OOTP 20, so if you want to play it in 21 I would suggest loading into 20 first and then importing it to 21.

This looks basically like exactly what I've been trying to create. Thanks a lot! I think the only thing I'll change as far as the structure goes is setting the WBC to every 4 years like the World Cup. What kind of historical financial settings did you use? BTW is there a guide somewhere on how exactly to install QS?

I imported 2008 stats setting and I believe it imported those financials as well. I may have edited them slightly from there. I realize this may be immersion-breaking for some people but I prefer to play with 0% inflation and static financials and not think about it so that a $20M player in 1970 is more or less the same as a $20M player in 2000. In my head I just think of it as all contracts being presented in present-day dollars adjusted for inflation. But if that's not your cup of tea you'll need to adjust it.

I believe you just download the .qs, put it in the /quickstarts/ folder, and fire it up. But don't quote me on that.

I'm fascinated looking over all the info about what the idea is, I'll have to give it a shot then.
