Back Again, 1 Question

I don't even know if I am even an All-star rated member any more ..

But I am back and will be posting shortly a new Baseball dynasty

-- never left, but took the game on a more personal and less frequent experience..

QUESTION:

I have been dissatisifed with the Independant and Major league relationships in fictional OOTP worlds..

Sometimes I see a great!!! player happy with 200,000 dollars / year in an Indy league instead of the big leagues....

Then I thought! maybe I have too many ''Established International Free Agents'' ,,,

Could that be the case?

Are FA players created through the metrics I set up for a league? OR, are Established FA generated from a standard International FA generator???

"Established International Free Agents" are country depended. With some countries being stronger then others. Not tested fully in OOTPb 21, since I turned it off in OOTPb 19, but it would create some monster of players that actually wouldn't be able to exist in a league from their country of origin anyway. Like if it created someone from Japan they would be a 5 star mlb player. If you have the Japan league its almost impossible for anyone to be a 5 star player. Same thing would happen with Korea, Mexico and Cuba. Tops they could produce fully established is like 3 stars but if you have it selected to created random then it's most likely 4 or 5 star guys. Not every year but enough.

You can select countries for those created free agents each country has its own star ratings. Say if you only selected England well it would create all awful players. You select Japan, Mexico, Cuba, DR, Ven, those countries are usually like 4 or 5 stars. So the chance of creating a monster shoots ups.

"Established Independent Free Agents" has the same kind of problem as well. Plenty of people posted pics of superstar players getting randomly created. You can find an all star playing in the default Indy league but they are either past their prime or maybe a future all star some 5/6 years away type of thing.

The default universe any of the major leagues can buy any player from any Indy league for $250,000. Some of the foreign major leagues just have a limit on non native players. But it's totally possibly. My MLB league AI teams buy Indy players all the time. Sometimes you just need those players for you lower tier minor systems.

But for the most part at least in versions since 18 all of the randomly created established free agents indy/int are well over powered. Its different with the amateurs because they are 5 star potential 16 year olds. They can join the army, politics, retire never develop.

The established guys you get no matter what 3 great years from them. More if they are <25 years old.

They are no longer overpowered. At most maybe you'll get a starter.

thanks for the info and response...

so, I suppose on the safe side it is smart not to allow established guys....

let them come through the already created free agents from ongoing leagues...

great! Thanks

It’s very true the player creation of EIFA is much more realistic…but you won’t get the full immersive experience, as washouts and AAAA or AAA caliber players who might be cut won’t go play anywhere….they’ll just sit in the FA pool until an American organization decides to sign them.
